Intimate Centennial Park Elopement in Nashville, Tennessee

A Love Story That Started as Friendship and Led to Forever

Some love stories start with fireworks. Others begin with a quiet connection—and a little help from friends and family. Ethan and his bride first met at a graduation party, but the real magic started when they shared their first date at The Corner Bar on Elliston Place. That night, they played pool, talked for hours, and ended up on Broadway pretending to be newlyweds. A little foreshadowing, perhaps? 😉

What started as friendship quickly turned into something much deeper. Even though they initially agreed to help each other find someone else, the chemistry between them was undeniable. A few months in, Ethan had to move to Atlanta for work—but instead of letting distance keep them apart, he came back to Nashville because he knew she was the one. He told her he loved her, asked her to be his girlfriend, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

A Spontaneous and Joyful “Yes”

Their proposal story is every bit as real and joyful as the rest of their relationship. Ethan had just picked up the ring and couldn’t wait another moment—he was down on one knee the second she stepped out of the shower. Unscripted, sincere, and so them.

After joking for months about going to the courthouse, one Friday morning they filled out the marriage license application and decided to tie the knot the following Thursday. With the help of their closest friends, they pulled together the most beautiful, intimate elopement at Centennial Park—a hidden gem in the heart of Nashville.

Eloping at Centennial Park

Centennial Park is one of Nashville’s most iconic and scenic locations, with the Parthenon as a backdrop and beautifully maintained gardens surrounding the area. On their elopement day, the sun filtered softly through the trees and blooms were just beginning to burst with color—setting the perfect stage for such a heartfelt ceremony.

From tear-filled vows exchanged in the shade to quiet moments surrounded by nature and friends, every part of this elopement felt deeply personal. It wasn’t about the size or scale of the wedding—it was about the promise they made to each other and the love they’ve built over time.

As a photographer, this session was a dream. The laughter, the emotion, the deep connection between these two—it all came through in every frame. And the intimacy of the moment, combined with the beauty of Centennial Park, made it truly unforgettable.

Planning a Nashville Elopement?

Whether you’re planning months in advance or pulling together a spontaneous celebration full of love and heart, an elopement at Centennial Park is a beautiful option. It’s timeless, romantic, and full of Nashville charm.
