A Timeless Celebration: Misti and David's Classic Black and White Wedding at CJ's Off the Square in Franklin, TN

Nestled in the heart of downtown Franklin, Tennessee, CJ’s Off the Square provided the perfect backdrop for Misti and David's elegant black and white wedding. This historic home, a gem of Williamson County, offered an enchanting setting for their special day.

Bill and I arrived at CJ’s around 12:30 on a sunlit Saturday afternoon. The house was abuzz with anticipation. We began by capturing the intricate details of the bride’s preparations upstairs. The natural light streaming through the windows created a warm, inviting ambiance that perfectly complemented the classic black and white theme.

With the details documented, we turned our attention to the garden ceremony site and the reception pavilion, which were poised to host a memorable celebration. As Misti and her bridesmaids arrived, I stayed with them for the getting-ready shots, while Bill headed downstairs to the Wine Cellar to capture moments with the groom and his party.

Misti looked stunning in her lace fit-and-flare gown, a vision of classic elegance. Her bridesmaids complemented her look in sleek black gowns, while David made a dashing impression in a traditional black tuxedo. The groomsmen mirrored his style, adding to the film-star allure of the day.

One of the very sweetest photos I was able to capture was a first look with Misti’s son, Jackson. As he saw his mother in her wedding dress for the first time, tears welled up in his eyes, overwhelmed by the beauty and emotion of the moment.  Another beautiful moment followed with a heartwarming first-touch between Misti and David shortly before the arrival of the guests. As the ceremony commenced, Misti’s handsome son, Jackson and beautiful daughter, Chloe walked their mother down the aisle, leading to an emotional moment when David saw his bride in her dress for the first time. The couple’s vows were sealed with a heartfelt kiss, met with cheers and applause from their loved ones.

Following the ceremony, I took just married shots of the newlyweds, photos with their families, and group shots of the wedding party while Bill documented the cocktail hour. Guests mingled, enjoyed delicious appetizers, and admired the champagne floral wall against a backdrop of an open bar.

As the evening transitioned, the bridal party made their grand entrance to the reception pavilion, illuminated by a shower of sparklers. Misty and David’s first dance as Mr. and Mrs. Andrews was a poignant highlight, followed by a tender father-daughter dance. A champagne tower added a celebratory touch, as Misti and David expressed their gratitude to family, friends and guests before an offering of prayer of thanks.

Dinner was a feast of delights, accompanied by heartfelt toasts from Misti’s children, which had guests laughing and tearing up. The festivities continued with a lively speed round of photos with each table and culminated in the cake cutting—a sweet moment before the dance floor beckoned everyone to celebrate.

As the night drew to a close, guests gathered out front for a final sparkler send-off. Misti and David shared one last private dance before making their grand exit and hoped into a cherry red 1935 Cadillac—a timeless end to a truly memorable day.

Misti’s and David's wedding was a beautiful blend of classic elegance and personal touches, perfectly captured at CJ’s Off the Square, making for a day that will be cherished by all who attended.
