Mary and Ty said their “I do’s” on a beautiful late-spring afternoon at Legacy Farms in Lebanon, Tennessee, surrounded by their closest family and friends. From the historic farmhouse and rolling countryside to the beautiful event barn and abundance of portrait locations, this Legacy Farms wedding was an absolute joy to photograph.
This was our first time photographing a wedding at Legacy Farms, and we were immediately amazed by how many beautiful places there were to photograph throughout the property. With 22 acres of Tennessee countryside, historic buildings, mature trees, and thoughtfully designed spaces, there was no shortage of gorgeous backdrops.
Even after spending the entire day exploring the property, I’m still not sure I could choose a favorite.
But the setting was only part of what made Mary and Ty’s wedding so special.
These two were simply the sweetest couple.

We began the wedding day at the event barn, where Mary and her bridesmaids enjoyed lunch provided by the venue before getting ready for the celebration ahead.
Meanwhile, Bill spent time with Ty and the guys in the historic home on the property. The guys enjoyed cigars and drinks while hanging out together, laughing, and taking in the anticipation of the day.
Those quiet hours before the ceremony are some of our favorite moments to photograph. Everyone is excited, but the pace hasn’t picked up yet. It’s a chance to capture the relationships and little interactions that make a wedding day personal.
And there was certainly no shortage of laughter with this group.

Mary looked absolutely stunning as she prepared to walk down the aisle.
Her hair and makeup were flawless, and her beautiful wedding gown from Millie’s Bridal Boutique in Tullahoma, Tennessee, was the perfect choice for her elegant spring wedding.
Her bridesmaids wore classic peach-colored dresses, while Ty and his groomsmen complemented them with light gray tuxedos and peach-colored ties.
The combination of soft peach, classic gray, and the natural greenery surrounding Legacy Farms created a timeless Southern wedding aesthetic.
The entire wedding party looked like they had stepped straight out of a magazine.
But what we loved most was how much fun everyone was having.
There was laughter everywhere we went, and Mary and Ty were surrounded by family and friends who were genuinely excited to celebrate with them.

The ceremony took place in the courtyard at Legacy Farms, surrounded by beautiful florals and natural light.
There was something incredibly peaceful about the setting.
Guests watched as Ty walked his mom down the aisle before taking his place at the altar.
Then it was Mary’s turn.
As her father walked her toward her groom, Mary was absolutely beaming. It was one of those moments where you could see exactly how happy she was to be there.
Surrounded by the people who loved them most, Mary and Ty exchanged vows and promised their lives to one another.
And then came their first kiss as husband and wife.
The smiles and cheers from their family and friends said it all.
They were officially married!

Following the ceremony, guests gathered at the event barn for cocktails and appetizers while we photographed family portraits and spent some time with the newlyweds.
One of the things we loved most about Mary and Ty’s day was how naturally they interacted with one another. There was no shortage of affection, laughter, and genuine joy between them.
The beautifully decorated event barn provided the perfect setting for everyone to celebrate together.

One of our favorite parts of any wedding day is sneaking the newlyweds away for a few minutes during golden hour.
As the sun began to drop over the Tennessee countryside, we pulled Mary and Ty away from the reception for some quiet time together.
The evening light was beautiful, and the open landscape at Legacy Farms gave us so many opportunities for romantic portraits.
And then we discovered one more fun portrait opportunity.
Ty’s semi-truck was parked just outside the barn, so of course we had to incorporate it into a few photographs!
It’s little personal details like that that make wedding galleries so much more meaningful. Your wedding photographs should not only show how beautiful your day looked—they should also show who you are.

By the end of the evening, one thing was very clear: Mary and Ty were completely surrounded by people who loved them.
Mary was one of the sweetest brides, Ty never seemed to stop smiling or dancing, and their family and friends brought so much energy and joy to the celebration.
Combined with a wonderful team of wedding vendors and the beautiful setting of Legacy Farms, it made for an unforgettable spring wedding in Lebanon, Tennessee.
