There are wedding days that feel magical because of the venue, the light, or the details—and then there are wedding days that feel sacred because of the people. Mikayla and Zach’s Sycamore Farms wedding in Arrington, Tennessee was both.
From the very beginning, there was a grounded calm in the air—like everyone knew what an important story we were witnessing.
Mikayla got ready surrounded by her closest girls in the Ladies Lounge, then in a quiet, sacred moment—with only her mother present—slipped into her stunning Maggie Sottero gown. The lace, the train, and the cathedral veil came together in such a timeless way. She added even more depth to her bridal look with meaningful heirlooms:
From head to toe, every part of her look told a story.
Meanwhile, Zach was getting ready in the Gentlemen’s Quarters, surrounded by the men who’ve shaped and supported him over the years.
One of my favorite parts of the day was the first look on The Bridge. The nerves melted into joy the moment they saw each other. But it didn’t stop there.
After the first look, Mikayla and Zach walked hand-in-hand to the island behind Sycamore Farms to exchange private vows. It was one of the most reverent parts of the day—no audience, just two quiet cameras at a distance. The breeze, the stillness, and the weight of those promises made the moment unforgettable.
The ceremony took place under the Pavilion at Sycamore Farms, where all their people gathered to witness their union.
Chloe, their joyful Flower Girl, had us all smiling, while Logan and Ryan carried their roles as Ring Bearers with pride and sweetness.
Their wedding colors—white, navy, light blue, and gold—created an elegant and timeless aesthetic. From the details I photographed in the morning to the romantic glow of the reception, everything felt beautifully cohesive. Their invitations, thoughtfully designed, set the tone from the start.
As the ceremony began, Mikayla walked down the aisle to “Turning Page” by Sleeping at Last, a song full of emotion and intention.
Later, their first dance to “From the Ground Up” by Dan + Shay brought the room to a standstill. It was more than a dance—it was a vow to build a life together, brick by brick, with faith and love at the center. IGetting Ready at Sycamore Farms: The Ladies Lounge and Gentlemen’s Quarters

One of the most touching parts of the evening came just before the cutting of the cake. Instead of tossing her bouquet into the crowd, Mikayla dedicated it to her mom—thanking her for always being there, for cheering her on, and for being her first and biggest supporter. It was quiet. It was intentional. And there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
The entire day was lovingly planned and executed by Mirwood Weddings and Events, and I can’t say enough about how seamlessly everything flowed. There was space for meaning, room for celebration, and so much love wrapped into every moment.
Now, Mikayla and Zach are starting their married life together—but first? A honeymoon in Curaçao! What a joyful send-off to a couple who brings grace, depth, and tenderness to every space they’re in.
