Couple’s session in Hendersonville, TN filled with wildflowers, creek water, and a Christ-centered love story worth sharing.
There are some sessions where you don’t just pick up your camera—you pause, you breathe, and you feel the weight of the moment settle on your heart.
This was one of those.
📍 Location: Hendersonville, Tennessee
🌼 Vibes: Wildflower field & barefoot-in-the-creek kind of magic
👫 The Couple: My bonus daughter and her boyfriend
🎙️ Their Story: Rooted in Christ, wrapped in gentleness, and glowing with purpose
Bill and I had the joy of photographing his daughter—my bonus daughter—and her boyfriend in the sweetest corners of Hendersonville. We wandered through a wildflower field and ended with them splashing in a nearby creek, the light pouring in just right. But what made this session different wasn’t the light. It was their light.
Their love is gentle, patient, and honest. You can see it in how she tears up and he softens his voice. How she leads with emotion and he meets her with calm.
“When conflicts happen, we sit down and we’re honest with each other. There might be tears from me, but Jaxon always brings patience and calm. It turns into a gentle conversation every time.”
They met through a Christian college ministry—two different schools, one shared faith. He was at Western Kentucky. She was at Kentucky. From day one, they communicated like people who’d been discipled well: with intentionality, clarity, and grace.
“I hope people see a couple that radiates Jesus. That they see this isn’t just a cute relationship—it’s a reflection of how Christ says we should love.”
They’re not perfect (they’ll be the first to say that). But they use the gifts and fruits God gave them to build something steady, even through the challenges of mid-distance dating.
Patience isn’t easy when you know you’ve found your person. But this couple is practicing the kind of waiting that shapes character.
“It’s hard knowing we’ve found the right person but still having to wait. God’s timing is better than ours. So we’re learning to appreciate the space, the alone time, the friendships—knowing one day we’ll be married and together every day.”
“When I met Caroline, I noticed her energy. She lights up everything around her. She made me feel like I’d known her my whole life within just a few hours. She was bold, open, kind—and I knew she was different in the best way.”
“I pray that our future is directed by God. That we make decisions—individually and together—that honor Him. That we enjoy our life, yes, but that our life also glorifies Him.”
This session isn’t just a peek into a love story—it’s a reminder that Christ-centered relationships look different. They communicate differently. They wait differently. They wrestle with real things like timing, distance, and identity—and still choose to show up with kindness.
And for me, as a photographer and bonus mom, it was sacred to document.
If you’re someone dating with Jesus at the center… waiting with patience… or wondering if the love you’re building reflects Him—this session is for you.
