A Beautiful Beginning at Paradise Ranch and Retreat

Nestled in Springfield, Tennessee, Paradise Ranch and Retreat provided a beautiful setting for Kayla and Layne’s wedding day. With approximately 130 family members and friends joining them, the property became the gathering place for a celebration filled with love, laughter, and meaningful memories.

The wedding palette of wild rose, terracotta, cream, and sage green brought a romantic, earthy feel to the day. These soft, natural colors complemented the setting beautifully and helped create a timeless atmosphere for their wedding photographs.

Kayla wore a stunning mermaid-style gown by Morilee, complete with a cathedral-length veil. Her look was elegant and romantic, making for some beautiful bridal portraits.

As the afternoon unfolded, we photographed the little details that would help tell their story for years to come. From the wedding accessories to the flowers and finishing touches, every detail played a part in documenting the beginning of their marriage.

Paradise Ranch and Retreat is one of the beautiful settings couples can consider when planning a Tennessee wedding. The Anticipation Before the Ceremony

Wedding days are filled with moments that happen quietly in the background, often before the ceremony even begins. The final adjustments, the excitement among the wedding party, and the emotions that come with knowing the day you have been planning is finally here all deserve a place in the story.

One of the special moments of Kayla’s afternoon was her first look with her dad. Before heading into the rest of the wedding day, she shared a private moment with him at the Airbnb where she was getting ready.

These moments with parents are always meaningful. A wedding is a new beginning for the couple, but it is also a day filled with memories for the families who helped them get there.

Afterward, it was time for Kayla and Layne to see one another for their first look.

Kayla and Layne’s First Look

There is something special about a first look. It gives a couple the opportunity to pause, take a breath, and see one another before the excitement of the ceremony begins.

For Kayla and Layne, this was a chance to enjoy a private moment together before the guests arrived and the day moved into its next chapter.

We love first looks because they allow couples to be present with one another. There is no audience, no pressure to rush through the moment, and no need to do anything other than enjoy seeing the person you are about to marry.

Following their first look, we spent time photographing the two of them together and capturing wedding party portraits. These photographs gave us a chance to document the excitement of the day while preserving beautiful images of Kayla and Layne before the ceremony.

When the Forecast Calls for Storms

The weather forecast had everyone watching the skies. Storms were predicted, and the possibility of rain was something we had to keep in mind throughout the day.

But Tennessee weather has a way of keeping you guessing.

The rain was inconsistent, and although the forecast threatened to change our plans, we still had opportunities to capture beautiful photographs. Instead of allowing the uncertainty to overshadow the day, we worked with the conditions as they came.

For us, wedding photography is about more than finding perfect weather. It is about knowing how to adapt, recognizing opportunities when they appear, and helping our couples enjoy their day without feeling as though every moment depends on sunshine.

Clouds can create soft, flattering light. Breaks in the weather can offer unexpected opportunities. And sometimes, the photographs you love most come from a day that did not go exactly as you imagined.

Kayla and Layne’s wedding was a wonderful reminder that a storm forecast does not have to mean a stormy wedding gallery. We were still able to create beautiful portraits and document their celebration in a way that reflected the romance and joy of the day.

A Ceremony Filled With Meaning

At 5:00 p.m., family and friends gathered for Kayla and Layne’s wedding ceremony at Paradise Ranch and Retreat.

With their wedding party walking down the aisle ahead of them, the anticipation grew as the ceremony began. Friends and family came together to witness the moment Kayla and Layne committed their lives to one another.

Kayla was escorted down the aisle by Matt, making her entrance a meaningful part of the ceremony. With her cathedral-length veil flowing behind her, she made a beautiful bride.

After the vows and the ceremony, the couple began their next chapter as husband and wife.

One of the special touches planned for the day was ringing the bell in the chapel as they exited the ceremony. It was a memorable way to mark the occasion and celebrate the beginning of their marriage.

A Reception Full of Celebration

At 6:00 p.m., Kayla and Layne entered the reception as Mr. and Mrs. Lane Jontz, following the wedding party entrance.

The celebration continued with their first dance to “I’m Gonna Love You” by Cody Johnson and Carrie Underwood. The song was a fitting soundtrack for the beginning of their married life, and the couple shared a moment together before the evening moved into the family dances.

The father-daughter dance and mother-son dance followed, creating more opportunities for meaningful photographs and memories with family.

Guests then enjoyed dinner, toasts, cake, cupcakes, and an evening of dancing. The reception was a chance for everyone who had gathered to celebrate Kayla and Layne to relax, share stories, and enjoy the occasion.

From the formal traditions to the spontaneous moments on the dance floor, these parts of the day are always fun to photograph because they reveal the personalities and relationships that make every wedding unique.

A Sparkler Send-Off to Remember

As the evening came to a close, guests gathered outside for Kayla and Layne’s sparkler send-off.

While everyone prepared for the exit, the couple enjoyed a private last dance inside. It was a quiet moment amid the excitement, giving them a little time together before stepping outside to the waiting crowd.

Then came the sparkler tunnel.

Surrounded by family and friends, Kayla and Layne made their exit through the glowing sparklers, bringing their wedding day to a joyful close.

It was a beautiful ending to a celebration that had included meaningful family moments, romantic portraits, a heartfelt ceremony, and plenty of reasons to celebrate.

Congratulations, Kayla and Layne!

Kayla and Layne, thank you for allowing us to be part of such an important day in your lives. We loved documenting your wedding at Paradise Ranch and Retreat and capturing the memories that will tell the story of your beginning together.

Even with an uncertain forecast and rain that came and went, your wedding day was filled with beautiful moments. It was a reminder that a meaningful wedding is not about having every detail unfold perfectly. It is about the commitment being celebrated, the people gathered to witness it, and the memories created along the way.

We hope your photographs bring you back to the excitement of your first look, the emotion of your ceremony, those just-married moments before entering the reception, and the joy of celebrating with the people you love.

May your marriage be filled with laughter, grace, adventure, and a love that grows stronger with every passing year.

With love,
